The UK is fine. It is safe, wealthy, stable democratically. There won't be an authoritarian turn and the service industry will scale fine with AI. It's a lovely place to live.

These aren't good reasons to think things. We have it all. We can improve the future.

Or a lot of AI discourse–that it will be a glorious future or that we'll all die.

When I was a kid, I was scared of heaven. Scared of the unendingness of it all.

I think I'd have preferred it to be over, rather than going on forever.

I've been listening to Bo Burnham's "That Funny Feeling" a lot recently.

I am generally pretty pro gossip. Someone said I was a hypocrite because someone gossipped about me and I'd responded badly.

It's tricky - being pro gossip doesn't mean I'm not allowed to disagree on specific pieces, right? But also, yes, I'm a hypocrite who is working on it.

It isn't the 23rd best series in the world. It just isn't.

IMDB should use some function of episode ranks, not an overall series rank, I reckon.
