One of the things Iβve realized in years (somehow, years?) of listening to folks talk about their work, is that the thing people donβt realize is how much time it takes β not just in workflow, but in all the hours (accrued over months, years, decades) that it took to hone & refine those skills. And:

#Laracon was such a welcoming whirlwind of insightful talks, engaging chats, and inspirational brainstorms.
I think Iβm going to have to dust off the olβ code streaming setup to make use of some of this post conference energy and really dive into #Laravel!

The reason you might want your code to be understandable and commented even if only you are working on it is the future you in 1 year or 10 years might need to modify/reuse it. Also if you ever need to hand it to a porter you want them to understand it.

while the current official number is hotly debated, there are actually far more tags in HTML than the ~150 commonly cited! that number merely represents the ones weβve discovered and domesticated β there are potentially thousands more in the creeping unexplored corners of the deep web & dark net

You don't necessarily need to say "image of" in your alt text for users to know it's an image. Screen readers will announce that it's an image. But it can help readers to specify if it's a hand-drawn image, Polaroid, infographic, screenshot, chart, map, diagram, or so on.

For privacy and security, think twice before granting AI access to your personal data | TechCrunch
AI chatbots, assistants and agents are increasingly asking for gross levels of access to your personal data under the guise of needing your information to make them work.
I wrote some ~weekend words~ on why you shouldn't allow AI access to your email, calendar, or any other of your most private data. This may seem obvious to some, but perhaps not to others: the privacy and security risks just aren't worth it.
