At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

Tomorrow, Sunday 9 November, is Remembrance Sunday. You’d be really welcome to join us as we remember those who sacrificed so much in war and as we commit ourselves to peace.

Thank you to all those who attended our All Souls services today. Thank you to all those who helped behind the scenes. It has been a special day of sharing joy, sorrow, memories, tears, laughter and remembering that all things are held on the light and love of Christ.

3.30 pm St Peter and St Paul Repps with Bastwick

We are remembering those we’ve loved and lost in each of our churches this Sunday, 2 November.

Get in touch if you’d like us to remember your loved ones. There will be an opportunity at each service to light a candle in their memory and we will read their name in the service.

We will also have some of the Twelve Days of Joy booklets available in church nearer the time, which contains Bible reading, short reflection and prayer for the 12 days of Christmas to Epiphany.

Looking ahead to advent, these groups will continue to meet. We’re suggesting ,those who want something to guide their reflections during advent, reading Bishop Guli’s advent book, the Archbishop of York’s recommended advent book, Listening to the Music of the Soul.

The Martham group meets on a Wednesday evening and is currently thinking about the Creed.

The West Somerton group meets fortnightly on a Friday evening and is doing the Lectio course, thinking about how we read Scripture and pray with it.
