Röper is the founder of so-called "Anti-Spiegel" and in 2025 was sanctioned by EU together with his friend Alina Lipp. But unlike Lipp, who received the Russian citizenship in 2022, he became the Russian citizen only very recently.

Turns out, Thomas Röper was accredited to the annual Vladimir Putin's press conference in 2020 as a reporter for Inforos "news agency". Inforos is directly associated with the GRU unit 54777, which is responsible for psychological operations.

And once again the campaign is distributed with links to the publications by Okay Deprem in "ODA TV" and in the Chinese state media "CGTN Türk"
