And the whole banning was for what? Making a community that allowed bootleg merch and anything anybody *bought* "pure" because nobody sold anything they made there? WHY? Why the hate? I really will never understand it.

Because having access to a huge group of rabid pokemon fans was so perfect, and now I just have "somebody who happens to see a pokemon sprite a post somewhere" and I get like, one interested person a year, vs. a dozen or so a week.

I made SO MUCH MONEY from eager pokemon fans who wanted plush and bead sprites. They were so happy! But the people running the community decided I was taking advantage of them somehow, and that got cut off entirely, and it's been such a struggle to sell those things since.

Back in the day I was super active on a Pokemon merch collecting livejournal, but I eventually got banned because I set one toe over some line I didn't know existed about mentioning that I make pokemon plush and pokemon bead sprites, and being a maker "shilling" and not JUST a collector was evil. :(

You know, I hate how in conventions and fandom communities etc. people who sell stuff are second-class citizens, sometimes barely tolerated because it's "bad" to want to get money for your fannishness.

We're just...trying to live? We love the fandom, and also we need to live.

Please, let us live.

Ugh. Socks looked okay when they arrived, but stretching them to sew the hooves on made it clear they're cheap as FUCK. I bought a random pack on Amazon that had all the Mane Six colors. :( Bad choice. Need better brightly colored solid socks, but that's gonna have to wait until after EverfreeNW.

I'm watching a Youtube series on the Dead Sea Scrolls, and some of them contain "rewritten" Bible stories, which is to say Bible fanfiction.

2000 years ago somebody was making up their own, more detailed version of how their favorite stories happened, and I love it.

Man, I'm spoiled for choice here. Usually I get one called Rise that has oat milk and it's SO DAMN GOOD. Not even for "no dairy" reasons, I drink milk, their canned coffee is just so good!
