Ik they have canon endings and jobs whatever in the appendices but movie Faramir and Eowyn manage to work bc she has the wanting to fight arc and he has the fighting but wanting to be loved and appreciated arc. He's kind of Hector-ish in that regard but w more self awareness

Finished the LOTR in theaters weekend event. Still good as ever 🥺 the hobbits....they love each other....

Realizing that a lot of the narrow panel compositions are useful because they have a very delicate lineart style. I like it bc even though the lines are very thin, Harada makes great use of the tone and spot blacks to keep things feeling heavy

4 pages of study on a grid lined paper with notes. Notes read: 1( transition from open white background to grey tone. Narrow panels and black borders = oppressive trapped atmosphere. 2) divided in fourths! Vertical panels, narrow was. Body parts, faces fractured into almost abstract shapes. Intimate but illicit. Overall lots of narrow panels both vertical and horizontal. Panels become almost completely abstract when consuming more of a moid. Good draftsmanship, delicate line work keeps figures looking define able and not too sloppy ( harder to do probably do for more chunky/simple styles?)
