Lol. i honestly couldn't give a shit what NY State or anyone associated with @NYCures does with its research funding. But damn, blocking a colleague because they pointed out the obvious is not the look you think it is.

to clarify, I am not in NY anymore but this downstate bias is real and self-defeating.

After 12 years as faculty member at Uni at Buffalo I've learned that "state-wide" initiatives means bringing together labs from Lower, Midtown, and Uptown Manhattan. Ignoring Stony Brook, UB, UR, RPCI, Upstate Med continues the divide between NYC and is not statewide. And that's a shame
