Top 2 Posts of 2025: 1. This reminds me of one of the cavern tours I went on with my kids. It was either Grand or Endless, both in VA. The guide actually named the bats. He was waiting for one to return and was worried that he wouldn't due to an illness that was killing the bats. Best tour of all time. 2. You can pry the Oxford comma from my cold, dead hands.

My first time playing with tanka...then some rhyme inadvertantly happened. Then tried to make it advertant. Not sure I liked how it landed

Ha! I knew most of my haiku wasn't actually haiku. I even looked it up once to see what it actually is, then promptly forgot. Thanks to @arwashington.bsky.social's prompts, I am reminded that most of my haiku is actually senryu.

Word for November 30, 2025: #HOME

The poem is from 1984 (originally 1982, I believe, as I first drafted it in high school). The border, however, took me all afternoon to figure out how to get the tiling and layer to cooperate.

Unseelie Fae. As Luke said, he is a nice enough fellow...but he will kill you. It's just what he does.
