I loved it when philosophers were seriously into paranormal stuff. one of my favourite examples is C. J. Ducasse's "Nature, Mind, and Death", where he argues for the direct perceptibility of causation and then uses the example of telepathy as "empirical support" for his view

We should start using "getting the ick" to talk about philosophers, I think. Like when a philosopher pretends not to understand what a word means because it hasn't been defined in terms of necessary and sufficient conditions—instant ick.
