2/2 As a NC educator and public school employee, I would like to state that this is 100% a pile of colossal bullish@t! No teacher I know (or have ever known) and worked alongside, has taught their students to be ashamed of themselves or to hate our country. That is one more lie out of his mouth.

In the days ahead my sincere desire is to be able to be enough - brave enough to stand up against hatred and wrongdoing. bold enough to speak with clarity, and empowered enough to fight against injustice. May I be strong enough to support those who are weary or marginalized - to reach back and pull them up to level ground. Let me be confident enough to hold my head up when walking among those who set out to deceive or cause harm, and wise enough to know when lies are presented as facts or misinformation as truth. May we all be enough.
