Art enthusiasts (non-artists) sorta don't really care about intent, meaning, or symbolism. As long as they're gratified, that's all they really draw from it usually.

I'm tired of hearing 'unalived', 'pdf file', or other forms of "algospeak" bullshit. Call shit for what it is. Shit. Social media companies got grown ass adults talking as if they're prepubescents who aren't allowed to swear.
I've got a couple of friends I've got shared canons with, but I can definitely see how tough it can be to get into. Roleplay / fic tends to great way to still get into it though.
Gotta be careful though, because some people may have an ulterior motive to try and just snipe free art through it.
