Can't quite believe that I have spun some flax fibres into a just about usable yarn! It was a tad tricky, but I managed to get more of the desired thickness towards the end. Fun times ahead π

Planning for the next tapestry weaving project. Seasonal, natural colours reflecting those found in a winter riverine landscape.

Such an excellent haul from the Rowans Hospice charity craft shop in Cowplain. One of the best purchases was the paper yarn, can't wait to weave with it π

At long last I managed to do some paper lithography on the theme of #chalkstreams, after taking a walk along the #RiverTest. These will help to inspire future tapestry designs

No worries. I like using the Mirrix Chloe loom as the tines are interchangeable. I also have the Mirrix Big Sister loom. Always nice to go back to a wooden frame though π

Unsurprisingly it can be had to find #tapestryweaving in amongst weaving/tapestry crochet/needlepoint tapestry, so Iβm hoping this will help a bit: go.bsky.app/6WSZniN
Tapestry weaving is done on a frame or an upright loom. The frame can be made out of wood, very much like a strong picture frame. Alternatively, there are some tapestry weaving looms available such as those from Mirrix.

Hoping there will be a few more tapestry weavers coming along. Here's one of my samples for a new weave that is currently on the frame
