My third book is half-plotted but needs development of the antagonists' schemes before I leap into it.

I hope so too. I've smoothed off the rough edges. Most of this round of fixes will let me know if something doesn't make sense, my stagecraft is off, maybe remove a few repeated repeated words.

Celebrating by christening my new grill. Missed my old BBQ. Charcoal's great but wanted the added flexibility of propane. Net loss of one burner, but they don't make my old model anymore.

Definitely a huge unplanned expense. We planned to keep the van for a while and had taken good care of it.

It is nice to have a bit of nature like this in the middle if suburbia. It's basically an overflow pond for the Carp River, but is teeming with life, usually. Only saw one rabbit and heard the bullfrogs last night, though.

Last day to pack lunches and get the kids up for school. For the foreseeable future, early morning is all me from here on...

Right now, I am just getting word out on social media. It's been a while since my book came out (2021) so the hype is down, but with the sequel almost finished, I plan to promote more soon, and hopefully gain subscribers at the same time.

I started mine this year. *Insert plug for subscribers* I did it to replace blogging on my website (which attracted so many spam comments I had to lock each post) and also as a backup for social media, knowing AI is going crazy blocking/restricting random accounts on places like Facebook.

So today's going to be the real scorcher, eh?

Need some good barbecue feeds now...

I had a couple of SF and Fantasy feeds but I've added some regional ones now (mostly local to me and east coast Canada.) I need to find a few more. Been laid up with a sore back for half a week... boosting my BlueSky experience is my pet project for today.
