Along with being an unapologetic defender of his community TC is a nature enthusiast, father and artist who needs our support after spending nearly two years risking his life fighting the fires in so-called LA and throughout so called California. Angela Davis – Scholar and revolutionary who was charged in connection with Jonathan Jackson’s courthouse rebellion. She was later acquitted and continues to speak out about prison abolition.

Assata Shakur – Former Black Panther and member of the Black Liberation Army. After being convicted under questionable circumstances, she escaped prison and is belived she lives in exile in Cuba.

Mumia Abu-Jamal – Former Black Panther and journalist, known for his critiques of police brutality. He has been imprisoned since 1981 and is still considered a political prisoner.

Fred Hampton – Chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party. Assassinated by Chicago police and the FBI in 1969 at the age of 21.

It began in California’s San Quentin State Prison, started by incarcerated members of the Black Guerrilla Family, including activists like George Jackson, who was a revolutionary and political prisoner killed by prison guards on August 21, 1971. The month also commemorates the deaths and resistance of other figures such as:

George Jackson – Member of the Black Panther Party and co-founder of the Black Guerrilla Family. Author of Soledad Brother and Blood in My Eye. He was assassinated in San Quentin on August 21, 1971

Jonathan Jackson – George’s younger brother who tried to free the Soledad Brothers in a Marin County courthouse on August 7, 1970. He was only 17 when he was killed.

Drop the Charges! for- Alejandro Orellana On July 10, a trial date was set for immigrant rights activist Alejandro Orellana: August 26. Alejandro was arrested by the FBI on June 12 for protesting against ICE in Los Angeles. He now faces up to 5 years in prison on two bogus federal charges: – Conspiracy to commit civil disorder – Aiding and abetting civil disorder

This is pure political repression! His so-called “crime”? Allegedly driving a truck carrying face shields to a protest—while police prepared to shoot rubber bullets at the crowd. Alejandro has spent years fighting for justice! *Against police killings of Chicano and Latino youth like 14-year-old Jesse Romero *Against deportations and ICE *Against U.S. wars and political repression *As a committed member of Centro CSO in East LA

Now the US government, led by Trump-aligned prosecutor Bilal Essayli, is targeting him to send a message to all of us: sit down, stay silent, and accept injustice! WE SAY NO! On August 26, we are calling for a National Day of Protest to demand that all charges be dropped.

Last month, on June 27, “National Day of Action for Alejandro Orellana”, at least 16 cities held protests or press conferences in front of their federal courthouses. RDTW was established in 1999 by the Anarchist Black Cross Federation, held simultaneously in cities and inside prisons across North America & more recently, parts of the UK. All proceeds collected will be donated to ABCF warchest. Money raised is sent directly into commissaries; and other forms of prisoner solidarity & care. ABCF has distributed well over $200,000 since the founding of the Warchest.

Running Down the Walls is more than a 5K—it’s a symbol of solidarity with political prisoners, a physical demonstration of collective care, and a key fundraising pillar for support services through the Warchest. ABC SoFLo Stands in solidarity with Jakhi McCray

On July 21st, 2025 Jakhi Walked into the 83rd precinct in Brooklyn, ny and turned himself in, after accusations of setting police vehicles on fire belonging to that precinct. His charges come with a minimum sentence of 5 years and a maximum sentence of 20 years.

After a month of relentless persecution with his home being raided, alongside 2 other addresses in New York city and his little siblings having assault rifles being brandished at them as they were harassed and forced outside, with a federal bounty on his head of $30 k, jakhi decided turning himself in was the best course of action.

Kojo is a New Afrikan Prisoner of War and former member of the Black Liberation Army. He was born on May 27, 1953, in Atlantic City, NJ. After losing both parents by age 11, Kojo remained committed to the values his mother instilled—especially the belief that education is a tool for liberation. He was captured in 1975 during a bank expropriation alongside anarchist Ojore Lutalo, and later convicted of seditious conspiracy in 1981, receiving a 55-year sentence. In 1988, Kojo was convicted in a high-profile prison escape conspiracy involving helicopters, explosives, and fellow revolutionary Oscar López Rivera. While Oscar was granted clemency and Ojore was paroled in 2009, Kojo remains imprisoned. Once his federal sentence ends, he is expected to be transferred to state prison to potentially serve 15 more years.

(Information current as of July 10th 2025) On July 4th Ten people were arrested and are being held in Johnson County Detention Center in Cleburne, TX on $10 million bail each—accused of trying to liberate an ICE concentration camp, called Praireland ICE Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas. The FBI is raiding homes across Dallas - Fort Worth, targeting parents, supporters & jail support volunteers. On July 6th An 11th person was arrested just for receiving a call from a loved one from jail. He wasn’t at the protest. He had a box of zines in his car—now being used as “evidence.” the FBI have turned him over to ICE to jeopardize his green card status.

This is political repression, and it’s not getting the attention it deserves. One defendant’s child has also been arrested. Federal officials and the right-wing media are pushing dangerous and misleading narratives. We know the police lie, and the media echoes them. Everyone resisting ICE deserves our support — legal, financial, and material. These are prisoners of war, and we need to stand with them in unwavering solidarity!

VIRGIN ISLAND 3 in 1972, five black activists in the US virgin islands were arrested for the killing of eight people at a golf course in st croix - a tragedy now known as the fountain valley massacre

the five were convicted after a trial riddled with injustice - forced confessions, denied legal counsel and a jury stacked against them. many believe it was a gov't crackdown on rising black liberation movements and anti-colonial organizing in the caribbean one of them, ismael ali, later hijacked a plane to cuba and escaped US custody. another, raphael (kwesi) joseph was pardoned and died mysteriously after it was said that he was about to reveal evidence that would have exonerated at least one or more defendant. all the men were known supporters of the virgin islands independence movement

the three who remain behind bars today are known as the VIRGIN ISLAND 3 - hanif shabazz bey (beaumont gereau) - malik el-amin (meral smith) - abdul azeez (warren ballentine) they've each spent over 50 years in prison - and are now in there 70's, still fighting for justice

These men were organizers. They believed in Black liberation and Caribbean self-determination. And they were made an example of.

from LA to florida - militarized immigration is here. this isn't just about borders - it's about power, surveillance, and who gets to feel safe in their own home.

last month, trump deployed 700 marines to support ICE during mass immigration raids around LA. now, 200 more marines are being sent to florida - this time under the same justification: "logistical and administrative support." but make no mistake - this is a militarized response to immigration, and it's spreading.

california pushed back. community organizers, lawyers and state officials challenged this militarization in the streets, and in court. florida must now prepare to do the same.

these deployments may be labeled "support", but they're happening alongside home raids, street sweeps, and detention spikes. and the presence of combat-trained forces in our neighborhoods isn't neutral - it's a message.
