I can play still & if I keep to playing at a different pace & with concentration, in many ways I'm better as I could be a bit frantic before. I have to think more now in terms of melody & composition, which is no bad thing.

It will do the job, for not much money. I like Westfield instruments. They get a bit of a bad rap because they're cheap but I've always found them solid instruments.
