Neither person mentioned my dead name. They saw me, saw my name, knew what to ask and how to do it tastefully. And added my preferred name. No embarrassment, just a simple kindness.

During the day I was asked twice if there was a name I'd prefer to be called because old accounts and legal name change stuff hasn't happened yet.
