Genocide is inseparable from colonial history. It is dishonest to insist that material demand superceded the need to exterminate "undesirable races." I'd even argue that extermination of non-white people was more urgent for colonizers as it cleared the path for extraction.

This country is so janky, ask them to mobilize a response so we're not in an endless pandemic & it's beyond them, but if they need to surveil & track pregnant people to criminalize abortions they're at the ready with all the infrastructure they need.

At least with air traffic control, there's also the challenge that training takes years, there's a ridiculous wait between applying and actually showing up at the ATC academy, and then there's questions about medical and security clearances, plus about whether you can actually do the job. A mess!

Notes on humanitarian pauses:
1. w/o fuel, Gaza's civilian infrastructure will collapse. Even UNRWA is on its last fuel
2. If no fuel enters, aid won't get far (b/c Rafah trucks aren't the delivery trucks)
3. Medical procedures rely on fuel for generators. No fuel means surgery by phone flashlight

Real talk: are they planning ahead for how so many will push nuclear as the solution to burning fossil fuels, thereby increasing the need for nuclear waste monitoring or??

Cal HR has been refusing to budge and we've been working on an expired contract for 3 years now.

We've been prepping for a while, but now it is kicking off.

Perhaps it’s naive of me, but I keep wishing that some of these Black folks who ascend to the presidential boardrooms of this country’s major universities would stand on the side of justice. But then, if they were so inclined, such ascension would be out of the question.
