This pup found a stick shaped like an old timey pipe earlier today and has already solved three mysteries. 13/10

A tree in Hyde Park during the early winter, with all the leaves gone, but green parakeets slightly out of focus in a way that makes the image resemble leafing trees.

This London tree looks like it's covered in new leaves, but these are rose-ringed parakeets (Psittacula krameri).

There are a lot of legends about how London became colonized by tens of thousands of these birds native to the Himalayas.

I stumbled onto a small herd of Icelandic ponies near Gimli yesterday. They were a bit far from the road and the weather was nasty, but I managed to capture this lovely moment.

A male downy woodpecker flys like a missile towards us with his wings folded tight against his body. His black and white markings contrast with the small red patch on the back of his head.

today a gigantic moose slept then snacked in our front yard in Anchorage Alaska for 5.5 hours. what an amazing animal - & so magnificent. our dog Johannes was curious but quiet. what an honor. We all need a dose of goodness these days. keep speaking out against cruelty & tyranny.
