An ita bag with a black dragon-like face on the front. It has red eyes and an open mouth that shows rubber character charms inside. All edges are meticulously whip stitched, with the exterior stitches in red for contrast. The thin faux leather has wrinkled slightly over the past 2 years but the horns and spikes still hold their shape.

Have used this technique on my ita bag cover (but done entirely by hand) by tacking down stabilizer with spray glue then folding the edges over to whip stitch and man... I lost track of time but it was definitely more than 6 hours. Would not recommend doing this on anything big.

Personally I'd do the longest stitch by machine (tip edge to tip edge), insert stabilizer cut just slightly smaller, and then fold the fabric around and ladder stitch everything by hand. It's... a huge pain! But it will certainly look nice if done carefully.
