📚 #WritingLifeMonthly Getting the muse to do it? I'm ADHD as heck and in and amongst my billion other hobbies and my actual job (which also requires writing!) getting the headspace to sit down and just splurge words can be elusive sometimes.

📚 #WritingLifeMonthly There's a lot of books that inspire me (and other media as well) but I think the main one that pushed me back into reading and writing still remains Roadside Picnic

Also I have the amazing and wonderful @spiritlullaby.bsky.social doing the cover and trust me it's going to be utterly GORGEOUS and I'm going to eat it with delight.

Choosing to do lots of this myself has been time consuming, yes, but I also feel like I've learned a lot of new skills in the process and that's been very worthwhile. I hope to continue to keep learning so that in future my next books will be quicker to set up once they're written as well.

Recency bias has me thinking a lot about Earthlings by Sayaka Murata (quite the incredible ride to say the least.) but overall my thoughts are almost always with Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky because that book owns my soul.

Stardust of Morgrad is back from being edited! Thanks to the amazing @willowtalksbooks.bsky.social the book is now filled with feedback and ready for my final edits and then... the real scary stuff!

Time to start scouting a cover artist and making some maps!

Whilst book 1 is being edited, I have been avidly chipping away at the start of book 2! Set in the coastal city of Kiitagrad, we follow the adventures of poor Larya, who just wanted to be an artist not a guard captain...
