5 waxwings still at 160 Dundee Street, Fountain Park.
Near the Murrayfield hospital perimeter fence a brown βbulletβ passed over my shoulder and exploded in a shower of feathers into the wire mesh. A song thrush, swiftly followed by a female sparrowhawk which perched on a fence post a few feet away waiting for me to leave the scene.

Glossy Ibis at Angle Park still. Seen at 2pm at the tall reeds at E end before flying to its favoured SW corner. Great White Egret still. 25/10
The Kingdom comes up trumps.
Glossy Ibis at Angle Park proved elusive for an hour and more but finally was spotted near the tall reeds at E end before flying to the SW end. Great White Egret very visible throughout.
No luck with Glossy Ibis yesterday at Seafield Pond, West Barns. Arrived at 11am. At Barns Ness a flock of c 150 Golden Plover lifted my spirits. Looking for YB Warbler, the Siberian Chiffchaff kept popping up! Themβs the breaks!
