My mom keeps sending me AI ads she’s seeing and saying she wants whatever these items are. I keep telling her they’re AI and she’s like “I know” but I know she doesn’t know lol

Maybe her having a smartphone and internet access was a mistake 😅

Anyway, it was the first Mother’s Day without my dad around, which I realize maybe sounds odd, but he had extremely advanced dementia so it was hard to do anything with him around, and mom was his caretaker, so.
It’s definitely less stressful now, even if it’s still weird remembering he’s gone.

Then captain invited us to stand out on the bow, which is restricted to employees only. It was the best!
Some random lady helped herself to the bow too and the captain told her she needed to get back and she was staring daggers at me… 😬 Lady, I work here! That’s why I was there… 😅

Brought my mom out yesterday to my job (I work on a train and also sometimes a boat!) and actually had a good time with her.
She and I are usually like water and oil but yesterday was actually a nice day, wow!
