NSF downsizes summer research program for undergraduates
Many participants are from groups underrepresented in science
So frustrating and short-sighted. REUs and REU sites have been an amazing opportunity for students interested in science to learn from mentors and peers in incredible labs and outdoor sites around the US. To what end? It is absolutely criminal.
