so far really loving the documentation and just how well tutorialized godot is.

I do appreciate how lightweight it is. familiar syntax, but streamlined a bit.

no I've only used the various c languages

gdscript is so weird. it's like. there are no rules. a variable can be anything. an array is a collection of anything. you don't bracket your functions or end lines in semicolons... everything is naked.

at least. I will have a good motivator to get up tomorrow morning
