This pisses me off to no end. The Democrats' strategy seems to be to sit there with their thumbs up their asses and wait until people hate Trump so much that they vote Dem in opposition. They're not giving people anything to vote for, just a less shitty alternative.

I'm not sure which aspect of this chart is more alarming. There's the extreme growth of both humans and domesticated animals over the past 200 years, the fact that humans make up such a large proportion of thirst biomass, or the sharp decline in wild land and marine mammals. It all sucks.

When I was a kid, I used to put so much Kool-Aid mix into one cup of water that I basically made concentrate syrup, then drink it. If I tried that now, I think I'd just implode. As we get older, our tolerance for the ridiculous things we ingested as children goes out the window.

We're screaming towards a solid decade of unbreakable Republican control over the House if we can't make life in blue states at least somewhat affordable. I live in Massachusetts, and my rent just went up by $500/mo. Min wage may be $15 here, but that's probably worse than $7.25 in Alabama.

Every single seat lost is coming from a blue/purple state, and every single seat gained is going to a red state (except maybe Arizona, but not really). You know the people moving to these states are largely not left-leaning, so the demography and political alignment are unlikely to shift.
