Do you know outstanding undergraduate researchers who could use up to $1,000 in travel funding to present their work at the Spring @acs.org or @pittcon.bsky.social Meetings?
Please encourage them to apply for a Kolthoff award! Deadline is Jan. 12, 2026.

Commercial O-glycoprotease options include OgpA (brand name OpeRATOR from Genovis), IMPa (from NEB), and StcE (from Sigma).
They all have pros and cons. We use IMPa the most of any of them and are pretty happy with it.
Unfortunately, no. One of the big challenges of O-glyco. There are cocktails of glycosidases that can work in concert (see DeGlycoMixII from NEB), but they are inefficient and donβt leave a mass signature. O-glycoproteases can cleave the peptide backbone at O-glycosites. But no PNGaseF equivalent.

Have you compared it to Inkscape? Any reasons why you may like Affinity better? Weβve been using Inkscape, so it would be a big lift to switch. Iβm curious if Affinity offers things that may make it worth considering, though!

@timveth.bsky.social is not only attending #SFG2025 - he helped organize Glycopalooza events for early career researchers and is presenting poster B10-110 Tuesday. Check it out in session 2 to hear his impressive work integrating bottom-up and top-down methods to define glycoproteoform heterogeneity
