I'm so annoyed by the push now by so many damn companies to embrace and promote the use of generative AI. It's not just the issue of stealing the work of others who may have spent their lives to create something all their own, but also the catastrophic environmental impact. I just can't.

And yet, no matter how hard someone like me (a person who works in QA) tries to tell people to slow the f*ck down and pay attention, the people at the top can only comprehend that "more crap" is cheaper and more profitable than "fewer diamonds." I really hate how often I say this.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.
