There's a Boriel Basic compiler that's compatible. It's really good and optimised, you would be surprised by it's performance and the games that have been made with it.

There are community ones, but not fully fledged yet, so we don't count them (yet). Same applies to the BBC and MSX cores.

It's down to the fact we had the X2 tiers on both KS (before KS featured addons), meaning each backer of those tiers got two machines.

KS 2 shipped ~5,800 machines (not including free ones for Devs, PR etc.)

Hard to convey how cool this is. The Speccy is alive and super well.

The main help screen. Enter REM at the command line. Enter STOP at the command line to switch keyword entry mode. The Looking Glass ZX Spectrum ROM V1.08 will be online soon. My favourite.

The Gosh Wonderful ZX Spectrum ROM V1.40 is available for download along with a useful BASIC program “peeker” that I use to peek under the hood. It uses 3 routines by Steve Vickers written for other Z80 computers back in the 80s.
They achieve total accuracy.
