I’ve just come back from France, where all urban areas are 30–50km/h. It seems like a silver bullet to me. Everyone is safer, zebra crossings work better. National roads are a more sensible site, too. Junctions and crossings aren’t perfect everywhere, but driver behaviour is overall safer.
