Love the writing in this. The callbacks to West Cork reminded me so much of my grandparents. A really lovely yet sad story with an incredible line of ‘there was an air of Protestants’. 📚💙

I know this book has split opinion but I absolutely adored this. So much beautiful and vivid writing with an intriguing story to match. An excellent book.

I only ever want to hear about her again if she and Peadar are having a scrap and she hits him with her €20,000 handbag.
