Someone apparently had a heart attack and was carried out of the cage area where they keep people detained. I have a 7 minute and 4 minute call between a detainee and family members when it happened. I have sent to reporters so they can break the story.

As we have said for weeks, the state of Florida and the federal government refuses so far to show legal agreements giving them authority to detain immigrants at Alligator Alcatraz. This is why people detained there have so far been denied any semblance of a legal process.

“We see hospitalizations every day,” said @tomaskenn.bsky.social, who is regularly in touch with the family members of more than a dozen detainees,” including one man who “had stage four hemorrhoid surgery last month and was reportedly sent back to Alligator Alcatraz, but there is no record of him.”

President Trump doesn't have the authority to prevent people in ICE detention from accessing legal counsel.

The Department of Homeland Security is now lying and claiming there is no hunger strike at Alligator Alcatraz. We know there is a hunger strike because we see the ambulances going in and out of the site constantly but more importantly, because those in detention have told us:

“Just to let it be known that we’re here, and we want them to know they’re not forgotten, and they are loved and remembered,” said the Rev. Arthur Jones III with the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Myers.

People detained at Alligator Alcatraz have had to remove fecal matter from the toilets with their bare hands because the toilets lose pressure due to lack of water. That’s the sort of depraved conditions that drove those in detention there to ten days of hunger strike so far.
