Yeah. Everyone has their own limits. Glad you found yours. It took me a long time to DNF my first DNF. It was not easy but so glad I did. DNFing needs to become more commonplace.

I usually give 100 pages but yeah. A writers job- at least partly - is to get the readers attention at the beginning. A writer shouldn't write assuming that the reader will read the whole book or series.

At first it was weird for me. My partner doesn't celebrate holidays because of his shit childhood. Instead he works holidays so his employees can celebrate with their families. Now I enjoy my quiet Christmas nights with my books. 🥰 and proud for him giving his people that time.
