A recent read for me, Binding the Cuckoo - evocative & enchanting, sharp & filled with mystery, oozing with folklore & magic, with characters to root for, in a world reflective of modern day issues. A vivid & magical tale of love, betrayal, loyalty & survival, beautifully told.

Series 2 of Squid Game The Challenge is another interesting social experiment in group think, survival, loyalty, what makes a person good in their own mins, and being able to do keepy ups and throw marbles against a wall. It really is everything.

I have a sudden urge to set something on fire

Hello to the recent batch of new followers. I've been traditionally published since 2015, below are all my completed fantasy series, and if you want more info you can join my monthly newsletter (although I'm taking Dec off, so back in Jan) and there's a link in my bio.

Enjoyed watching V for Vendetta again. Must be the fifth time I've seen it. The comic is better, of course, but that's almost always the way with adaptations.

It is,but my copy is buried somewhere in a longbox 😄

Guess it's time to watch V for Vendetta then.

One of my favourite comic book runs of all time is The Spectre by John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake. The first omnibus is out now, collecting issues 1-30 from DC comics with a fantastic new cover from Mandrake and an intro from Ostrander.

READ IT. Please. The funnest book every month.

Back from World Fantasy convention Brighton. Voice is completely gone from talking so much but it was both energising to see so many people and exhausting. Back to my writing cave now to sit quietly and rest up.

Heading to Brighton this Thursday for World Fantasy Convention. I'll be there Friday to early Sunday and taking part in the group signing session on Friday night.
