Been up since 6am Brussels time and finally got home at about 730pm Toronto time. 😴

I had to use my neighbors phone to call around but managed to find a place in North York that had my battery in stock and was able to get it replaced.

Solved the mystery of my battery issues. My battery is bulging and this is apparently a known issue with this type of phone. Bad news: my phone is possibly not safe to use?? Good news: I may not have to pay for the replacement battery

Like truly wtf? I woke up and checked the time on my phone and it had more than 50% and I put it down to try to sleep more. My alarm went off and after a couple minutes of opening Instagram I had no battery left.

There is something seriously wrong with my Pixel 7a battery. I've had this phone for just under 2 years and when it gets to a certain level of charge the % sometimes just nosedives in seconds. Even with battery saver turned on.
I am going on vacation in a few weeks and this makes me very nervous.
