01.10.2025 23:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The world of surveillance and totalitarianism is a world we know all too well. So when I hear Ezra Klein and Ta'Nehisi Coates this is the divide that white privilege gives Ezra. To be new to the fear of this oppression.

I have been with friends who are reminded about a time they got stopped with me that I dont even remember.

Sometimes it was me but usually it was just my blackness. This is America. Not the one that most of my white friends know. Most white people I know have
01.10.2025 23:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Years ago, I used to tell my students and friends that I had likely been stopped by the police close to 100 times in my life. I could see on their faces they never believed me and that is fair, it was not their life experience. So I started drving when I was 16-45 ( I am now 52) that is 29 years.

29.09.2025 06:55 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My first year in college debate my coach was Brooks Haynie. Brooks was a big man and an even bigger personality. He came to MoSo for a year and then he went on his way to grad school (USC) and then out into the world. I lost touch with Brooks over the years and then I heard that he passed.
