Trying to watch a documentary but the narrator keeps pronouncing it 'hwale' and I just can't take it seriously.

I have to force myself to post positively every now and then so I don't end up looking like a grumpy old man

People who like fireworks, what's your number one reason?

Do you:

- hate cats and dogs
- love killing birds
- love littering
- love accelerating climate change

Answer on a postcard, then choke on it.

The cat's hiding under the bed and the dog can't stay still and keeps freaking out as people across the land with half a brain let off small explosions and gaze in awe like the shit for brains they are.

Seriously, imagine liking fireworks. What kind of absolute loser you must be.

I blame its underappreciation on Will Smith for perhaps the worst movie adaptation in history

I Am Legend is perhaps the most underrated horror novel of modern times!

The cover of The Outsider by Albert Camus.

Started re-reading this today; I honestly can't really remember a thing about it so thought I better.

Coincidentally it's Camus' birthday, which feels loosely like providence.

A Novel Solution – Sue Clark - SRL Publishing 'I galloped through this book. The prose is immediate and arresting, it's fun without being frivolous and lively without being manic. It's a book to romp through, just make sure you don't have eggs…

"Clark has crafted a delightful story of midlife chaos and creative ambition "

Wannabe author Trish gets nurtured by celebrity author, Amanda, at her gloomy house in the woods but when Amanda goes missing, is Trish woman enough for the rescue job?

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner

Ok… this is a BIG DEAL.

Published back in 2020, Seven Nights at the Flamingo Hotel by the unsurpassable @drewgum.bsky.social was our first novel… and as a consequence of us going to into hibernation for a while, it’s sadly been out of print.

NOT ANY LONGER!!!! IT’S BACK!!!!

Finished The Gallows Pole; I enjoyed it overall. It's a fascinating story, and Myers has a very unique writing style.

I could have done without the endless list of names every few pages, but otherwise it was a good read.

Now to rewatch the prequel show and understand it a lot more!

I've just learned of the existence of a film called Life in a Year.

It stars Cara Delevingne and Jaden Smith, who are two people who cannot act. Like, absolutely have not a single cell of acting talent between them. Honestly, I'd be a more believable actor than the two combined.

Nellie very much did NOT want me to go for a run today.

I agreed.

Went anyway.

Hi writing folks! We've just migrated to bluesky and thought we should introduce ourselves. We're an online queer literary journal, we've been going since 2019 and we love writing that is daring and innovative.

We're looking to be connected to the writing community here, so please follow and RT! πŸŽπŸ‡

Except Preston who play tomorrow evening.

Disappointing to not take advantage, but I suppose also a comfort that we haven't lost any ground.

Onwards and upwards! Portsmouth at home on Saturday is very winnable.
