After spouse died I remade my will AND sorted my POA. Didnt save much money on solicitors bill but saved a lot of breath discussing my situation with solicitor at a very emotional time.

Yesterday I took a donation to local charity shop - in tote bag. Involved in planning conference next year & arguing we dont need them both for expense & actual need of attendees. Time for BYOTB perhaps?

I once had something similar with a Scottish certificate. A few weeks after the replacement arrived a car drew up outside & a lady handed me an envelope containing guess what. I lived in Close she lived in Street. Despite haveing correct address Royal Mail delivered it to wrong address.

Slightly off topic @rwldproject.bsky.social re the S&D 200 anniversary. Saw the tv prog earlier this week with Michael Portillo. He interviewed the man who had been at the 150 yr event. Cant recall Mr V going but he had memorabillia & did some train pics of the event

And tomorrow would be my parent's 80th anniversary

53 years ago today I married Mr V. A few weeks after our 50th anniversary I found him collapsed on the bathroom floor & later that day I lost him. He didnt live to see me gain my doctorate & I miss him dreadfully.
