Stopping on Dispatch for the night since I have to work tomorrow (got through episode 3 at least), so now getting caught up on Ranma 1/2 again. And it's a Ryoga episode?

Okay, two episodes into Dispatch, and yeah, I think I'm down with what this game is throwing at me. The dispatching mini-game itself is a little difficult, but I didn't do TOO terribly. And the writing and comedy are both right up my alley so far.

Now, onto the next game I've been meaning to play - it's time to see what all the hubbub about Dispatch is about.

And I definitely wouldn't mind a sequel for this game eventually either - there's a lot that could be done for an alternate version of Fist's timeskip material, especially given how many characters are left alive in this version that were dead originally.

And while the original series cast suffers, there are a few game original characters that prosper here, chief among them being best boy Jagre. I absolutely wouldn't mind him crossing into the mainline universe of Fist someday (and anything's possible with this franchise).

For all my complaints though, the game itself (as in actually playing it) is still really fun. I had a better time with that part this time around now that I've played more of the Yakuza games, but what this game really excels at is making you FEEL like Kenshiro, ATATA's and all.

Of the manga original characters, only Kenshiro really gets to shine here, with basically everyone else only serving as glorified cameos for the most part. This is especially damning for Mamiya who...I'm honestly not even sure why they included her, given how briefly she's here?

Having recently re-read the manga, the weaknesses to this version of Fist's story are way more apparent to me now than they were before, and if this is someone's first introduction to the world of Fist, it probably isn't going to impress them very much I'm sad to say.

And that's Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise wrapped once again. This game is...complicated for me now, if I'm being honest. It's really fun, and probably the best FotNS game I've played - but it's way more of a Yakuza experience with Fist trappings than anything else.

Up a little earlier than planned, but that should allow me to finish off Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise pretty quickly - I've basically just got the final section left.

OH SHIT! I didn't realize we were getting a re-release of this! I've always been really curious to check this one out, definitely gonna have to try to nab it.

I'm so excited to finally get to play this. I love the crap out of the first one, warts and all, but this'll be my first time experiencing this one, and I can't wait.

There's a relatively decent chance I MIGHT finish off Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise today (been trying to do all of the substories but there's a couple I may just say 'fuck it' and skip), so it's a good thing I already know what my next game is.
