I've seen Al multiple times in concert and got a selfie with him at a book signing in 2013. Sweetest guy you'll ever meet, super cordial with his fans. Barnes & Noble said not to waste Al's time talking to him or posing for the selfie but he had no problem doing either. Gonna see him Saturday night!

You might be able to handle Plague Dogs, though to be honest the book's ending is way easier to handle than the movie's. A rare case of the director wanting to make a far darker turn for already tortured innocent protagonists than the author did.

Surprisingly the Plague Dogs movie ends darkly but the novel has a last-minute happy ending, whereas with Watership Down both are really dark but the book is much gorier. I went into both books blind, but luckily as an adult in my early 20's, and they still hit pretty damn hard.

I remember when SA did a video "This is what you want, this is what you get" which juxtaposed WW2 propaganda images of Aryan supermen/women with actual white supremacists who typically had missing teeth, incest-related deformities, and other "white trash" stereotype looks. Guess the movement failed!

I love that they couldn't get sued by McDonald's because everything they said about Ray Kroc was stuff the douche BRAGGED about in his own autobiography! They did make minor changes for dramatic effect like the shake mix scene, though. They let people judge for themselves about Kroc by his actions.

The Orange Vanilla Coke, which came out after Coke realized how many people were ordering on Coke Freestyle with Vanilla and Orange flavorings together, was absolutely heavenly. For them to pull it off the market and come back with an inferior Orange Cream flavor is just sad.

Julia Sweeney said in her final comedy special that she re-watched the film and had to explain to her daughter that the joke was intended to be at the expense of people that *cared* what gender Pat was, not Pat or enbies. She never intended to be hurtful or hateful and has apologized repeatedly.

Funnily enough there was a Sprite commercial that parodied those ads. Starts with people partying on the beach drinking "Jooky" with a fun tune saying 🎶"It's a party in a can!"🎶, cuts to 2 teenagers in a snowy cabin opening a can of Jooky and saying "Aw, man, mine's busted!" since nothing happened.

My dad used to quote the villain that would always mangle profanity like "Fargin' bastiches" and I never got the joke until I actually saw the movie uncensored on Showtime (Comedy Central airings censored even the fake profanity). Having Weird Al write the theme song was a master stroke as well!
