Personally I'm rooting for Severino. He gets to keep his family in the Bay while getting out of a park he hates, we get a SP.

Since I haven't seen anyone else say it, I think we use the rest day to move Roupp up the lineup while still giving him 5 days between outings. Gives us a competitive pitcher against the Mets.

I'm always wary of before/after stats from arbitrary mid-season points, but the sample size is large enough and the turn around sharp enough that I think we can say Adams really did get himself right during those two days off.

Turns out the answer was yes, they were just the first five batters.

Agree on Wilmer and Yaz - we have options for 1B and RF, obviously DH is sewn up.

Curious why you list Rogers? I feel like our bullpen has been pushed hard since the Devers trade, and being able to consistently put Rogers out there when we're competitive in the 8th feels critical to me.

All the players have to dress like that so we know which team is which.

Had to turn off the #SFGiants game. Watching Verlander give up 4 runs in <3 inning while we strand 4 runners in scoring position is just not a good use of my time.

Same. The only thing I can think is that he was so sure the center fielder wouldn't get it that he wasn't in position to tag.

Which isn't an excuse, it's a potentially huge base-running mistake, which we've made way too many of this year.

I am something of a dummy when it comes to baseball, but I don't really see how one can defend the Giants hitting coaching at this point?
