Trick-or-treating - Wikipedia

I often hear that Australians don’t β€œdo” trick-or treat at Halloween, or that it’s β€œan American thing” but in my childhood back in Scotland on the 31st Oct we always went β€œguising” - dressing up and knocking on doors, maybe reciting a poyum, for sweets.

A screen grab showing password login disabled on the Australian MyGov website.

My Australian myGov account was closed due to too many failed logins.

I created a new one, and I’ve found that after enabling passkeys you can disable password login. Good to see govt taking security seriously.

That’s one thing I do see on nostr - a real drive to expand the underlying protocol beyond micropost social media. Haven’t seen that here yet - or maybe I’m following the wrong folks.

Ok! Did you know that the character of Spock & the Vulcan β€œlive long and prosper” πŸ––πŸ½ is actually drawn from the Torah & informed by Nimoy’s Jewish heritage?

As a child, Nimoy was in synagogue & snuck a look at the Konahim blessing πŸ––πŸ½. ST centered pluralistic society & he made it part of his character

Gosh, so much and yet so little.

Tell you though, my youngest (10) has taken to playing that gorgeous bass guitar I picked up from you all those years ago! Long may that continue!

Hope you are all keeping well?

I *think* it’s when an account is very similar to a well-known twitter account and the Bluesky team can’t verify. It’s a manual process, from what I can tell.
