πŸ‘†and late enough Monday morning so if you wake up regretting the way you phrased something, you fix it. if you don’t care, it just goes out

There’s so much to be worried about. Keeping myself and my fam going, and the big hot mess that is our society.

So I’m very grateful to have reached the edges of don’t care/don’t fuss the small things. And enjoy things as they come, even if it seems small or silly.

This year I started submitting.

I just got my first rejection. It’s good one!

-it was fast, polite, and I can submit something else in future
-I’m learning how to submit
-I’m just jazzed about being in the show, man

Split Lip exists because of our all-consuming, kind-of-embarrassing love for storytelling (in all its forms). BTW: we're currently open for free submissions! ✨ buff.ly/ooRuxPx

last night I drank, submitted poems to literary magazines, and played Warcraft 3 with my fam. felt like a good approach to the extra hour from the time change.

many +1s for Roald Dahl! Matilda was also a big fave in my home. Holes (Louis Sachar) was fun.

I used to read A Secret Garden, The Little Princess, and Chronicles of Narnia.
Also Lloyd Alexander (the Book of Three) & Susan Cooper (The Dark is Rising) but I was a little older then.
