Follow your Rainbow

Me being sneaky and totally not planning my own "Team Sky" for Eve's Hoenn arc, which is totally nothing like SpaceX at all. Definitely not. Cough

This fits the two characters well, as their entire story is based on changing the direction of their fated entanglement.

Bending the expectations placed upon them by their family, who set them up as rivals for life.

Why RefractionShipping? Well!

As you may or may not know, Eve is associated with rainbows. And rainbows are formed through the phenomenon called refraction, the bending of light

This illustration of them is in the future when they are both in their mid-twenties and Eve is done being a travelling trainer

Both of them settle down in Lumiose City together, with no intention of becoming a couple, it just sort of happened

Well, I hesitate to call it just a ship, these two getting together is just canon to their story.

I'm looking forward to sharing more about them and their story in general, as it is vital to the Eve lore in general!

When Eve travelled through the Johto-region, she and her team of Pokémon participated in the PokéAthlon.

For generations the Montfort family has been running a vineyard and winery located in the outskirts of Couriway Town in Kalos!

Let's learn a bit more about the family members, other than Eve, who are currently running the business

Kenai the Ursaring! The final member of Eve's Johto team! He was caught as a Teddiursa quite late into the Johto journey.

Though a fierce battler, he had a problem of enjoying naps a bit too much. Luckily Eve had experience with battling with a sleeping Pokémon.

Hula the Bellossom! The first Johto Pokémon that Eve actually caught in the wild! Using a Love Ball she was given by Kurt, Eve caught an Oddish while making her way through Ilex Forest, mostly to add a bit more power to a team, that was mostly babies at that point

And when she did, it was always a gamble due to her always using Metronome.

When she finally did evolve though, she became incredibly clingy, and would rarely leave Eve’s side.

Columbia the Togetic! She was first received as an egg as well. After having seen how well Eve had raised Ribbon, Professor Elm entrusted her with another egg.

Columbia turned out to be a bit more difficult to raise, as she did not take to battling at first.

Huge Power ability. And early on, Jessica essentially became a mentor to Ribbon. Which is perhaps why she became such a strong fighter upon evolving.

During the journey to New Bark Town the egg would hatch into a Azurill, who quickly grew attached. And by the time she reached Professor Elm, the baby Pokémon refused to leave her side, and thus stayed with her.

Ribbon got along super well with Jessica, as they both had the

Ribbon the Azumarill! The first Johto Pokémon Eve got. Upon arriving in Johto for the first time in Goldenrod City, Eve was approached by an elderly couple who requested she'd deliver an egg to Professor Elm, who had forgotten it in a hurry.

Rouge the Scizor! While caught in Kanto as a Scyther, she insisted on joining Eve in Johto as well. Where she would eventually evolve thanks to training with Jasmine at Olivine City's Gym

Since she possessed previous experience, she quickly became Eve’s ace in Johto!

Alright! Let's do a quick team breakdown!

Starting with the obvious - Jessica the Bunnelby. Wherever Eve goes, Jessica goes as well. She's her first ever Pokémon and #1 partner!

Though small, this rabbit packs a mean punch thanks to her Huge Power ability
