The programme is all about supporting people who are underrepresented in public life to get more involved, speak up, and take up space in the rooms where decisions are made. Through it, I met some of the most incredible people - people who are now part of my inner circle, my cheerleaders, and my teachers. I learned so much about myself, about systems, and about the power of lived experience. If you've ever felt like your voice doesn't belong in certain spaces - this is for you. Because it does. During the Cabinet Secretary's statement on the recently published diversity and inclusion guidance for political parties, both spoke of the importance of the programme, how it improves access to public and political structures, and the extensive benefits the scheme has brought to its participants.

Equal Power Equal Voice was recognised in Senedd plenary this week for its significant role supporting women, disabled people, ethnic minorities and LGBTQ+ people to step into public life - by the Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice in her statement, and Paul Davies MS in his question.
