Equal Power Equal Voice Mentoring Programme

Our mentees began interactive sessions on intersectional practice in public and political life today. They explored the meaning of intersectionality, systems of oppression, and future leadership. The cohort shared thoughtful insights, and look forward to the next sessions.

Our EPEV mentees joined an interactive Cultural Awareness and Anti-racism session with EYST this week, exploring culture, racial trauma, and the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan. The session ended with best practices for fostering equity and inclusion in public life.

Our EPEV mentees took part in LGBTQ+ Allyship training with Stonewall, exploring its history, key terminology, and how to be active allies. A supportive space for learning and growth, building on their journey toward inclusive public leadership.

We had a great day at the Senedd in Cardiff with passionate EPEV mentees and mentors! Highlights included talks from Mark Isherwood MS and former mentee Dee Montague-Coast, networking lunch, livestream of First Minister’s Questions, and a Senedd tour - a fantastic insight into public life in Wales.

Our new EPEV mentees took part in their first training session last week, which focused on gender equality & women's rights in Wales & the UK. We’re proud to see our cohort engaging so thoughtfully with these discussions, and we look forward to building on this foundation as the programme continues.
