I think authors should be required to have a bibliography in their books if they use ch*tgpt or other generative AI to help them write. There should be a section of annotations at the end of the book explicitly stating which sections were generated by the non-human program.

We’re finally watching TRUE DETECTIVE, s4, and there’s not much I’ve enjoyed of it beyond Kali Reis, but the idea of being able to strip off one’s clothes and walk out into the perpetual night with the understanding that the elements are going to kill you fairly quickly is highly attractive.

Went to the Wyden-Bynum town hall this morning, and was impressed by the questions from the community and the responses from the congresswoman and the senator. I hadn’t known much about Bynum before—she’s not my representative—but I was VERY impressed by her.

SHADOW PRICE by Farah Ghafoor

This was the most detailed bibliographed collection of poetry I’ve yet encountered. Deeply appreciate the further reading list. Some of these poems made me unbearably sad.

Disappointing to see that Corvallis Mayor Charles Maughan is not among the signers of this missive.

Great horned owls are nesting again. Heard a couple on my walk, but my poor eyeballs do not function in twilight, and I couldn’t find them up in the trees.
