Elish can't teleport. His Aether isn't sufficient for it. He has to take the airship. How long does the airship take? What if it's not possible to go by airship, how long does the boat take? The overland trip?

I love accounting for the passage of time. But doing all of that can be.

Challenging.

I think a big part of the problem, holistically, is that there is a lot of time not accounted for.

Whenever I write Elish coming into a scene that he has no prior standing in, it's always him complaining about paperwork from his job, because it's shorthand for the time costs of living life
