Also I bit the bullet and got a SSD, so I can try out Linux.

Who knows, maybe it'll be great, maybe it'll suck. But it's defintely worth trying, if for no other reason than to avoid CoPilot and Microsoft's "no offline" rules.

I have worked on making mods for GZDoom form quite some years now that's why I'm asking

I know there's "Screenblocks" as an indicator for hud display and I know there's a "Hud Scale" for SBARINFO/ZScript Huds

I don't know if both can be combined or if scale can be a keybind

Wait UZDoom uses +/- as HUD scale buttons or it is something being done on the mod side ?

Sorry I wasn't paying attention before and not really an expert on the Linux

But the error says something about not updating the package because it can't confirm it's secure?
Can you uninstall Steam , update to Zena and then reinstall it again ?

If sounds risky use Timeshift before doing all that

Yes, the software manager installs either the .deb version or the .flatpack version depending on availability.

You could try to uninstall the version from the manager and try with the .deb

did you try using the app store version of Steam or just downloading the .deb from the Steam page ?

Linux Mint is a pretty solid option for starting using Linux, it takes most of the trouble of Linux away and the desktop is very friendly towards Windows users

Working on halving the resolution of all sprites in Megaman ZDoom. While I'm fine with the full-res sprites, animating them is very painful and literally halving the work is a good move lol
Also it's based off a GBA game with a low resolution so hehe

Because it's good and stable ^^
And the opposite of what Linux has been criticized for all these years ^^

So what a better starting point than that?

Well I'm stuck anyway with my refurbished mid-end PC I bought back in 2018 so that isn't a deal breaker for me

An update video on Megaman ZDoom.
I've now properly implemented the Z-Saber, weapon select, charge attacks, wall jumping, and elemental chips!

When I was a kid learning to use a computer, even at the most basic level of simply interacting with a GUI and organizing files, it was with the understanding that everything on the computer was mine. Modern operating systems treat the user just as much like a product as the machine itself.

im not a linux evangelist but people post on here weekly like "i miss when computers were more like the early 2000s and had basic software and i didn't have to pay attention to all the flashiness and complexity and updates" girl what you desire is running stable debian on a spare thinkpad

As a new immigrant to Linux Mint this year, it's been great! It is recommended more for people who like computers as a hobby because some things don't "just work", and I am left behind a few steps on NVIDIA updates, but it's been fun to tinker around on and try to figure things out.
