I’m with @lauraroeder.bsky.social on this. Just because I haven’t opened your emails in a while doesn’t mean I want to unsubscribe. I open fewer than 1/12 of any emails from a list at all but when I do it means I finally have time to be engaged, maybe even buy. “Cleaning” precludes this

This part specifically drives me absolutely bananas. If your site has very specific password requirements then just generate a password for me and tell me what it is. Password generators don’t help here because you have to enter in the site’s specific weird requirements. Infuriating

Definitely not from summaries. In the past a 15 min pairing session could just disappear from memory in an instant. Today, if I pair with someone, we can get a full searchable transcript of the session with zero additional effort. That’s been a nice win for our team in the past year

Yes! And add to that the new slate of AI transcription and summary tools and now the information is even more accessible than ever before

For entry level/fresh out of school roles, however, there is an element of “learning how to work” that is being lost imo. e.g. how to collaborate, focus, behave, present, and grow professionally. It’s hard to learn this sitting in your home office by yourself

We’ve found pairing to be most effective. And it’s much easier to pair remotely thanks to screen sharing rather than crowding around one monitor. Its so easy to hop on a huddle that I don’t miss the days of drive by questions or “hey can you take a look at this”

We follow up 3-4 times over two weeks then close the ticket if no response. It can be annoying sure but it makes a difference if you care about solving problems
