Yeah, I'm writing a parser, not an interpreter.
Main difference is that this JS parser is for use inside an IDE, so it keeps going even when there are errors and it tries to guess what the user wanted to do, so we can push out diagnostics.
Therefore, the parser allows syntax which is not 'correct'.

I had some time to work on a parser and I can now push out diagnostics to VSCode.
It will actually become interesting when looking at the scopes and accesses inside tables, but for that I have to write a small linter first.

The part about creating a regex for unquoted strings that fits in nicely with the rest of the expressions turned out to be quite tricky. Haven't quite figured it out yet.

Is there a reason that you keep the language spec so open? Like new line vs comma, "string" vs string, [ vs }, : vs =, null vs nil etc.

Kids were sick, the terrain system I wrote wasn't good enough, scope with chunks too big. Lost motivation.
Today said to myself: screw it, use a small map, and Unity's Terrain System.
It's actually gotten pretty nice now and I immediately got my motivation back after being able to quickly do stuff ๐Ÿฅน
