The poll question posted is specifically about Trump’s favorability. While he is not, very unfortunately, unrelated to the U.S., the attitudes towards the U.S. may be somewhat different and certainly more complex.
(Then again a lot of us did vote for the guy so there’s that strike against us πŸ™„)

A really important moment to remember that meditation is only preparation for right action, never a replacement for it.

Abolish ICE is now the moderate minimum position,

Prosecute ICE is where Dems should be at next.

I don’t want to hear anything from an elected official unless it’s a plan to defund the DHS and impeach Noem, Bovino, etc. No texts. No emails. No talk about the economy. Step up or step off.

Dear all journalists -

Just because the president has long believed [X] or has always wanted to [Y], that doesn’t make it, y’know, a thing. Or legal.

Thanks.

I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

Minneapolis church has delivered more than 12,000 boxes of groceries to families in hiding DHH church has hundreds of volunteers packing and delivering groceries to families who have been too scared to leave their homes during the immigration operation.

They have quite an operation going.

THOSE OTHERS
We lived at the end of an empire.
Sometimes we gathered in huge auditoriums and tried to understand.
Our shame did not save us, nor our sadness redeem us,
as we came to understand how others, far into the future,
would look back at us,
shaking their heads: we hoped
in sorrow; more likely, anger.

Don't Hesitate
If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don't hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed.
Still, life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happens better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. Anyway, that's often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don't be afraid of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb.
Mary Oliver

There remain many people of good will in the U.S. govt, men and women who believe that

–official statistics should be true and not just whatever Trump wants them to be;

–decisions about vaccination should be based on science;

–the former FBI director up on bogus charges should not be perp walked:

Refusing to hand your money over to companies and oligarchs whose behaviors suck should be a very common practice, and yet it’s still treated by many as some sort of revolutionary pipe-dream.

You can do it. The sacrifice is minimal. The reward is big.

The Trump administration can’t threaten to punish media organizations like ABC and the New York Times because they don't like what they have to say.

The right to speak freely, protest peacefully, choose our own religious practice, and access a free press is foundational to our democracy.
